New Look Romania Opening

Photobucket

Last night I went to my first important fashion event : New Look Romania Opening ,in Afi Palace Cotroceni. I attended the VIP party and took some pretty cute photos, though not of the highest quality.
I saw some amazingly nice clothes and I got home with some pretty hefty shopping done : a pair of leopard low heels,an armor ring, 2 pairs of opaque tights (mustard and crimson) , a silk shirt aaaand,as a gift,I got a really cute golden bracelet. (see my latest shopping aquisitions in my next post).
The place was filled with celebrities, champagne and little fancy snacks .
Though the event was so glamorous and I liked it so much,I didn't really speak to anyone in the Romanian blogosphere, probably because I was so shy ,but next time I promise I'll walk up and talk to other bloggers :)

Last, but not least, I adored the show(s) . Yes , there was a fashion show, constituted of New Look's lookbook and a concert : The Moood. And I must say, those guys are really good !

Brain Food

Photobucket

I came to the country side for some peace and quiet...but I didn't get as much of it as I'd wanted to :) Why ? I'm leaving for the sea-side this Sunday , with the EYP as a candidate for the National Selection Session and I have to complete a research paper and get train bookings and lots of other preparations must be done. But still, I enjoy my evenings going out with friends and today we're going to the have a party by the Danube : lots of sunbathing and swimming and a barbecue in the night .

Plus, here's my brain food (what I use to concentrate on my research and not get distracted by blogs and online window shopping xD )

What's your brain food ?

Doina Vitaminised Face Milk

It's a first for me , so don't crush me in comments . While shopping for some cosmetics to take with me at my cousin's (where I finally am after a year of waiting) , I decided to try some new products and even to review them, just for you to benefit :)

The first product I decided to try is the Doina Vitaminised Face Milk .
The first thing that inspired me to buy it was the fact that absolutely everyone from Romania has heard of it an considers it as a good product. Second , the very attractive price : it costs about not more than 1,1 pounds . Which is a very good deal !

At the first sight, it doesn't really attract you instantly , not having a brightly colored or embellished container, but a rather vintage look . The size is well chosen : it has the right amount to last for ages and it's easy to carry around.

Then : the smell. It smells like my grandmother's cream . It doesn't have a specific scent, smelling rather as something neutral, which is a big plus since scents that are added to beauty products are not good for your skin.

The consistency : It's not as fluid as milk, but it's not too bulky either. It's something that you spread on your face and don't even have much time to massage it into the skin. Because yes, you can use it both as a make-up cleanser and as a moisturiser .

What does it really do then ?
I've used it both as a cleanser and as a moisturiser , but the good part it that it hydrates your skin enough while removing make-up so no extra using it and you save the extra product .

In conclusion ?
It's an excellent money saver
One of the best skin products I have ever tried
Lovely packaging

Would you try it or have you already did ?

What's in my bag ?

Photobucket

I've been thinking of doing this post for a while now,but never lived up to taking the photos . Now,thanks to Ifb's Project number 8 I got round up to posting it.

Bag : comes from Topshop and it's the thing I treasure most among my fashion items.
I-pod: I won this I-pod at an English contest a couple of years ago and it's something I wear everywhere with me . It's been a true friend . Like they say : Earplugs in ,reality out!
Lipbalms and lipsticks : I have tons of lipbalms, but these 3 are my favourites ! The TopShop lipstick was my closest choice, because I usually have a bold lipstick on me . The Nivea one is a balm that makes my lips feel really light and the Carmex one has saved my chopped mouth so many times!
Mirror: Mirror, mirror on the wall, Who's the fairest of them all ? This is something my mother got for me on a trip and it's so precious ! I'd love to make it something that passes generations :)
Phone : I feel really useless without this ,even though it's got really used-up buttons from so much texting !
Keys : Now they're indispensable, but there used to be a time when I didn't even know how many keys I should have to open my own house !
Notebook : It's something I use all the time, just like an agenda, though I use it to draw designs,to write short stories or sometimes just like a diary, like my little confident.
Wallet : I don't use it that much, holding my money in my pockets, but it's really girly and has a retro vibe,so I adore having it in my bag <3

Balkan's Awards 2011

Photobucket

Now,at the end,we had our Balkan's Awards, where the funniest things were given special awards. We had to dress up and act as if we were watching the Oscars. Prizes : hilarious !
Unfortunately,I do not have pictures of the winning people ,but I can tell you something about them.
We had someone that had , as a punishment , dress like a girl and sing "I'm a Barbie girl" . He got the "I like pink" award.
Then we had the " Most brunette gipsy" : the two people that won were fair-skinned and blonde.
And so on.

Taking a small break from my list of EYP regarding posts, I'll let you in on my weekend in Bucharest with my two friends , Perry and Merry :)
We went out on a girls night out and stayed in on a girls night in . And we had tons of fun : we gossiped ,laughed and chatted all the night . Or maybe not ,since I fell asleep at 1 a.m.

EYP Concert

Photobucket

Every EYP session has a concert where it's best musicians reward the delegates and officials with their amazing voices and musical skills .
It's a formal occasion and we had to dress up, though ,unfortunately ,I'd forgotten to pack a special dress for the concert,so I had to improvise.

Getting from Bulgaria to Romania + Romanian Party

Photobucket

On the sixth day , we got our bus transfer from our hotel in Bulgaria to Romania's Eforie Nord, at the Ten Union Hotel . I really recommend it for those who want to go the Romanian sea side (the food is great!) . It was really sad to leave the hotel of our fun part of the trip, but we knew we still had 5 more days to enjoy.
When we got to the hotel and unpacked,we went for a walk on the beach and started talking only in English to see which merchandisers would understand us : saddly, none did .
Then,in the evening , we had a Romanian themed party with old Romanian hits and traditional music . We sang and danced and all the foreigners learned a little from our really happy and joyful traditions.

The EYP goes to the beach in Bulgaria

Photobucket

In out final day in Bulgaria, we had the sporting events , which led to a long bath in the sun and tons of fun in the sea . We had algae fights and played a lot of games. We burried a friend in the sand to his neck and then wrote "EYP" on him, with water . And we ate ice-cream on the beach and got the most intense tan from all the session. Then we were off to packing (saddly)
