Finding your style

Finally some time in front of the computer for something else than writing essays . I came back to Giurgiu on Sunday and I'm still trying to get back to my usual sleeping schedule. Loved the EYP. More details in the next post ,since I don't have all photos now .
By the way , these are photos of some chocolates I made for my friends : they're dark chocolate with mint and poppy.
You probably remember that in my last post I was talking about a great source I use for inspiration : Chiara . But how could I use inspiration properly , not copying her style , if I didn't have my own . I am not going to lie and say that I have already developed a style of my own . I still search and still make mistakes. I probably love a mix of elegance and laziness , but no one will be surprised if I show up wearing sport's tights and sneakers . I usually wear discrete make-up , just some shaddows in the proper places. But I sometimes exagerate and wear tons of make-up , because I am somehow of an excentric.



Basic steps in finding a style good for you
1.What do you like ? Do you like neon colors , pastels or sequins ? Do you like mixing them all-together ? So ,what is your color palette? Try cutting out colored images from magazines and making an inspirational board out of them . Pick absolutely every item that you love and would love to wear.Pick not only clothing and jewellry , but furniture and food too. Anything works. Now , after glueing it all together (some might use the computer for a little more tidiness) , what colors appear more often ? Which patterns have struck your eye ?
2.Now , do you adore shorts, strech jeans,dresses or skirts ? Do you wear a lot of blazers or do you prefer cute cardigans ? So , is your style more feminine ,cuddly,soft,or is it a more masculine representation ?This is were you decide if you like clean cuts or wide endings.
3.Where do you work ?Or maybe you don't work, but you have to have some activities that may need a specific dress-code. If you are bold enough to adapt everything to who you are ,it's perfect,but if not,try going around the preset code.
4.How do you look ? You might be fit,slim,slender,fat,muscular,pear shape,no shape and so on. This does affect how you dress. Most say it doesn't , but it does,in a really big way . Don't say that slender and slim girls can wear anything , they don't . Try looking online for styles that suit you : what type of cleavage (though the bra is everything) , neckline , skirt or pant length . You'll begin understanding as soon as you try on stuff that you are supposed to good luck in.
5. And the best thing to listen to ? Your personality. If you are shy ,you'll probably like wearing clothes that don't jump into attention . If you like attracting attention , you subconscious will tell you to wear bright colors and daring styles.
Conclusion : try mixing something you like from each step and you will end up with something close to your dream-style. That's going to come somewhere in time .
