Spring?

The Shoe Pendant

It seems like spring is just passing by these days, one hour at a time. Today, while looking for a present for a friend's birthday, I got the opportunity of snapping some pics with my newest T-shirt, that I got for Takko. It was a whole lot of a bargain, costing only about 5 euros and it's made entirely out of cotton. I'm also loving the simple text message: Why not?. Besides this, you can see my Chuck Taylor's, comic book edition.

What is more, I'm leaving for Craiova this Monday and will be spending around a week there. I'm not going to promise any posts, as I usually do, but if you want to stay up to date, check my instagram feed, over at @shoependant .

Some Gentlemen and their sons

Some Gentlemen and Their Sons... Or the story of an unplanned outfit. You might also learn to remember it as the tale of how you should never pack light.

So how does the telling go? Well, this Friday, I arrived in Bucharest to spend some quality time with Prince Charming and relax a little bit. We were planning to go to some museums but, thanks to me forgetting my ID home and bad weather, we ended up in a calm and retro pub in the Old Center of Bucharest, called, as the title suggests: "Some Gentlemen and Their Sons". The place is very nice, it has reasonable prices and I suggest you pay them a visit in case you take a stroll through the capital of Ro.

But the tale's moral wasn't this, but the fact that if it weren't for my hoarding-like packing, I would have been obliged by the situation to either go out in a skirt and heels or face the world in my sweats. Because, yes, it was raining! So from now on, in case you are not required by law (there would be ways around that too), never pack light!

Almost over

The Shoe Pendant

Walking around the school yard where it all started gave me a lot of things to think of. As I went there yesterday, with my mind set on taking some outfit shots with a different background, it all hit me: I started school here 12 years ago and I'm now almost taking my so dreaded final exams and walking away forever. Sure, it might not be the same school as the highschool I'm studying at now, but I can't get my mind off what I've been through for the past decade and something. Remembering my first day here, when I showed up with ponytails and holding my mother's hand, and seeing myself today, wearing plum lipstick and fur, made me realize how much I've come and how different I am now.

And it makes me think: how soon will I be saying this about university?

Marvel of Light

The Shoependant You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
C. S. Lewis

As I said yesterday, I am in love with starting over. As much as I sometimes crave for indulging in a sedentary daily routine, usually I adore a new challenge. This is why, this year, I've challenged myself to attain everything I've wanted and dreamed of so far and haven't quite got a grasp on. I've learned some lessons in the past couple of months and here's my advice to you:

You might touch your dreams over night, but you might never. Unless you work for it, one step at a time, until you can embrace the true taste of success.

For me, the small steps refer not only to my blog and this year, as you can see, I'm going steady, posting on a schedule and keeping my promises. I am going to rely on my creativity and whit and not allow my procrasting nature to take over.
So here it is, my first outfit post of the year, showcasing what I wore for a small NYE party. Also, in these pictures you can better observe what I did to my hair! I chose to dye my hair according to the ombre trend, mostly because I felt the need to change something about my looks and because it's not high maintenance.

Stay tuned for a couple of more changes/surprises/love!
