A woman's affair

The Shoe Pendant

Oups! Seems like I said I would post this yesterday and I kind of missed the deadline. It's been happening to me lately: skiping deadlines, missing appointments, forgeting promises. I'm just too stressed. I'm even too tired and lifeless that I can't strike a pose for an outfit post. However, it seems like I'm not always that careless (thank you so much, past me, for taking these gorgeous pics!!). Upon rearranging my computer files (because yes, procrastination), I discovered that I had yet to unleash some of my past looks, even one from the Basic Item series I was promising before I left for Craiova.

As for the look, you might say it's not that me. And it actually isn't. I am in love with color, more or less, and I always add that touch of crazy and chic in all of my outfits, but it seems like I went for a more mature look in this one. I don't really remember the story I wanted to tell with this outfit, not because it was too long ago, but because it's so simple, yet refined, that it invites anyone that sees it to think of a story.

Today, I think that this semi-transparent blouse is the perfect item for a business woman: soft and delicate in the front, and edgy in the back. You know, like in that quote. Who's quote? The Iron Lady's, of course!

Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't.

2 years of glamming

Photobucket
Hello, lovelies! Nice to see you after so much time. This time, I'm going to try to bring you up to date with a couple of events from the past week.
On Thursday, invited by the lovely Stefana Chivoiu from Delazero advertising company, I attended the event called "2 years of glamming", which celebrated 2 years of Remington's Romanian blog, Remington Style, and it's award of public's favorite. Since I am such a fan of hair products and such a lousy personal (aka my own) stylist, I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn some new things and maybe figure out in which beauty gadget I should invest in next.
The evening was lovely and I got to meet some new friends with whom I will hopefully meet up at future events too! Sorry about the lack of pictures though and my face in them, but busy days get the best of me (and forgetting my make-up bag at home never helps either).

New photographic craze

Photobucket

There comes a time in each of our lives when we experience butterflies in out bellies, flutters of happiness and joy that put smiles on our faces, weird grins at times. That, my dears, is falling in love with an awesomly designed Nikon d5100 with a 18-55 mm AF-VR lens, not to mention the hull HD video option that comes with the package. I had the honour of declaring it my precious yesterday, when my father arrived with the box in his arms. It's been on my wishlist for a lot of time now and I simply cannot believe it's finally mine. I decided, as I do with all my appliances, to give him a name: I thereby announce the social presence of Johnny, the Nikon D5100:) I actually took the time to snap some random images around the house and during my daily walks and tried not to overflow you with imagery this time:) But beware future outfit posts in high quality (at last!)

Milestones

Photobucket

“A milestone passed, new things begun, dreams as shining as the sun, a goal achieved, a victory won!
This is what probably describes best my feelings at the moment. I am proud to announce my first glory in fashion-blogging matters: I have succeeded in posting for 100 times!
My tendency to keep things going is usually not so rewarding, since it doesn't quite exist, but this time, I am proud I have stuck with my passion for fashion long enough to reach this milestone.
And to celebrate,I decided to create one of my most quirky outfits: mixing animal print with leather shorts and knitter sweaters might not seem my usual go-to dress-up, but it certainly has a special relationship with my soul. Sparkly clutches have a way of saying "Heya, handsome!" to old, worn-out UGG boots like not other.
Embellished duck rings and knitted leather bracelets are funky and make my hands smile, if not for the chipped off metallic blue nailpolish on my fingernails .
All in all, what I wish for from now on is that I reach my 1000th post milestone, my 100000th and so on. I wish for my little baby to prosper into a world where mixing my heart with my closet is not only tricky, but amazing.
