The Snowflake and The Avalanche

The Shoe Pendant

,,No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible."
Voltaire
It's been a very busy period for fashion bloggers all over the world: flying to Milan, London, Paris and so on, planning outfits, charging and recharging camera batteries, posting on blogs and so many more. It's also been a little bit of a renaissance of the fashion lovers that attend the above mentioned events. This change is mostly owed to Suzy Menkes' Fashion Circus article . Bloggers ( at least some of them) started going for simpler combinations and outrageous (meaning hideous) outfits were a little bit less on display. Or so it seems from the pictures that are rolling around the WWW right now.

Your average day

The Shoe Pendant

Sometimes, it rains. Sometimes, it rains a lot. Sometimes, this happens in my little town, thus making me completely unable to shoot any kind of outdoor photo (for days). Today, however, I received a lovely gift from Prince Charming, a new camera lens, and I simply had to test it. I'm sure I'm not even close to understanding how it really works, but I thought that my today outfit, which is something I usually go to when going to school, was good enough to honor the new tech acquisition.

I really hope the sun is going to lighten us up with its presence (see what I did there?) and I'm going to be able to shoot some of the outfits that have been wandering around my mind for weeks now!

Stay fabulous and see you soon =)

Xmas crumbs

The Shoependant

Although it comes a little bit too late, I didn't want to miss the chance to wish you all a very merry and happy Christmas or at least happy post-Christmas days :)
I took some self time during the past couple of days to spend with my family and friends, to go for walks, to go a little bit shopping and, obviously, to bake a little, one of my biggest passions, that I'm cultivating with any given opportunity. This time, I went for my famous chocolate cupcakes, macaroons and gingerbread. I am very happy with how the macaroons came out, since it's a very delicate and though process and this is only my second batch! Besides that, I did what any usual Romanian would: stuff themselves with delicious home-made food and very good red wine. I also got some very interesting presents and, like the tradition requires, decorated the Christmas tree. Some people usually do it beginning December, but I always do it the day before Christmas, while listening to carols and eating chocolate gingerbread:)
I am now leaving you with a selection of pictures that include the tree, the food and the gifts. I hope you all spent amazing days with your dear ones and see you again soon.
