Hashtag DigitalDivas13

The Shoe Pendant

As I was saying last week, on Friday I attended the so coveted Digital Divas' second edition, which took place at the Biavatti lounge (an extremely beautiful location if I might add). I met with old friends and got some new ones. I also finally met Irina, the owner of Add some style, who is, guess what, from the same town as me. We had the chance to chat a little bit and enjoy together all the lovely speakers. I'll also do something that I don't usually do, and present some of my favorite speakers with what they said.

Digital Divas Ambassadeur

The Shoe Pendant

Or actually Ambassador, but I like to give myself more posh-ness with some French name.

But yes, I am a Digital Divas Amabassador and I am now going to tell you what exactly this lovely event is about and why my keen interest in it.

Experience

The speakers will show you how your passion for blogging could be a real job.

Networking

A great opportunity to network with well-known fashion and beauty bloggers and celebrities.

Prizes

Every participant will receive a goodie bag with beauty products and cosmetics.

And not to mention all of the speakers!!! My personal favorites are certainly Ana Maria Morodan, Oana Pellea, Bogdan Th. Olteanu and Ovidiu Buta. Others speakers are the Fabulous Muses, Cristian Lupsa, Dana Paun, Mirela Bucoviceanu and Catalin Opritescu of Lightaholic.
Besides this, you might want to know more about Yvan Rodic (about whom I'll talk more in a future post) and about the fact that you are all invited to cast your vote in the People's Choice Awards (how exciting is that?).

You have to go here and vote for your personal favourites! My personal favourite is probably Add some style by Irina Sandu.

Until the next post, don't forget to request your invite over at the Digital Divas website!

Toque, or the long awaited graduation

 The Shoe Pendant

Well, I will not say this in too many words, as words are simply superfluous. My last highschool adventure ended with toques flying in the air. And even though we rushed our robe ceremony (I'll get the chance to repeat it when I finish college), it was a very heart-warming moment: getting an award for the "English Person of the Class" and watching my best friends get "crowned" Valedictorians were things that made me feel proud and ended the 4 ( 8 if you count junior high) years I spent between the walls of "Ion Maiorescu" National Highschool.

To all of my classmates, see you in ten years!

To all of my friends, come to England for free accommodation!

The last leaf

The Shoe Pendant

It's been more than two weeks since I stepped ( more or less gracefully) on the steps of the restaurant where our Senior Prom was held. It is only now that I am realizing how fast time goes and how time is probably the only thing I don't have right now. Being burried under piles of endless finals material with a desire to pump caffeine through my entire system, I want to take the time and acknowledge the times that have passed, just to make a clean slate to the ones that are coming.

What was highschool for me? Probably what it was for most of the people in the world: 4 years filled with (unfounded) drama, delightful (and not so delightful) new experiences, new friends, best friends, frenemies (*wink*) and body image issues ( was I too fat?). It was a great life experience, though probably not the best so far, but I do have to give it some credit for getting me together with some of my best friends and Prince Charming ( yes, the people I adore with all my heart). It tought me how to experience intense feelings (not only thanks to Prince Charming *wink again*), but also to the people that thought me there was a reason fairytales were written: to put the bad guy to sleep!

But about Prom night? It was loads of fun (though a little short-cut if you ask me), it gave me and my besties to feel like princesses for a night and wear long, sexy gowns (though mine was probably the most nerve-wrecking experience I've had), luxurious hairstyles and ravishing make-up. The photos are proof of how well we felt and we can only wish to have the same impressions after our 10-year reunion (which I cannot wait for more than this!!!).

All in all, it's been a fun set of years and we can now only ask ourselves what our future (and our finals) has set up for us.

Peroni Collaborazioni d'Invierno

Photobucket

Hello, lovely lads! I'm back with a new post, this time from the Peroni Collaborazioni d'Invierno, which I attended last Saturday with Prince Charming. It was a very special event, as I really wanted to be there, mostly because one of my favorite bloggers, Ana Maria Morodan, teamed up with Kinga Varga to create a perfect apres ski outfit! I wouldn't want to overlook the other two teams either, as they did such a wonderful job themselves.
The event started at 8 o'clock at Fratelli Espresso Bar, a wonderful place, very cozy and still classy and hype. There were a ton of stylish people, celebrities and designers, such as Dana Rogoz or Laura Cosoi. As I already said, the decor was stunning, but the live models added a lot of glam to the whole evening, even more than the delicious appetizers and the Peroni beers. Also, the music, both the ambiental and the little concert ( lovely The Speakers) were a blast (and Prince Charming can agree with that).
Last but not least, I must talk about the three outfits designed by 3 very talented blogger-designer team!
Kinga Varga and Ana Maria Morodan : Their vest/dress was very clever and I really enjoyed the fact that they chose white as the main color. I know it's not Ana's usual style, but this time, it really represented her so well! The fur hat and the spandex tights were an amazing add-on and I can declare this, truly, as a great design!
Nadia Popescu and Irina Markovits : This outfit was a very good combo of brown-ash and red! The contrast was both soft and hard at the same time, transforming the outfit into chameleonic one.
Mihai Dan Zarug and Claudiu Enescu : I never expected I would want to see my boyfriend dressed in something so much! I adored the jacket that became a vest and the colors that were put into the design were chosen perfectly!
All in all, the designs of all three designers came out more than amazing, but saddly enough, as most bloggers encounter at some point in their careers, I have reached the point where I start complaining. So here it goes. I didn't like at all the organising of the fashion show, not the event, but only the "catwalk", as it made it impossible for me to even see the models march, not to mention snap any pics of them, so I had to wait for the official pictures to come out in order to post them on the blog.
However, the event was a really nice one indeed and I want, through this, to congratulate all three teams!

Loredana Novotni

Photobucket

Designer number three from the Avanpremiere posts is up now (after C. Chereches and A&S Negulescu). We're now here to talk about Loredana Novotni's sacRED collection.
At first sight, I wasn't really into the whole red look, as red isn't my favorite color, but then, after more thoroughly looking at the pictures from the event, I realized that the detailing on the pieces was more than amazing. Also, I really like the way the items create a proper silhuette, very feminine and also classy, but with a very calm edge of insanity.
This time, I'm not only posting the official images and my perspective, but also pictures from a special photoshoot done by Roxana Enache.

Bearing in my last post, I am now here to talk in more detail about some of the designers that showcased their truly amazing creations on the stage of Avanpremiere 11. First on to talk about is the first one that was presented on the runway:

2 years of glamming

Photobucket
Hello, lovelies! Nice to see you after so much time. This time, I'm going to try to bring you up to date with a couple of events from the past week.
On Thursday, invited by the lovely Stefana Chivoiu from Delazero advertising company, I attended the event called "2 years of glamming", which celebrated 2 years of Remington's Romanian blog, Remington Style, and it's award of public's favorite. Since I am such a fan of hair products and such a lousy personal (aka my own) stylist, I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn some new things and maybe figure out in which beauty gadget I should invest in next.
The evening was lovely and I got to meet some new friends with whom I will hopefully meet up at future events too! Sorry about the lack of pictures though and my face in them, but busy days get the best of me (and forgetting my make-up bag at home never helps either).
