The last leaf

The Shoe Pendant

It's been more than two weeks since I stepped ( more or less gracefully) on the steps of the restaurant where our Senior Prom was held. It is only now that I am realizing how fast time goes and how time is probably the only thing I don't have right now. Being burried under piles of endless finals material with a desire to pump caffeine through my entire system, I want to take the time and acknowledge the times that have passed, just to make a clean slate to the ones that are coming.

What was highschool for me? Probably what it was for most of the people in the world: 4 years filled with (unfounded) drama, delightful (and not so delightful) new experiences, new friends, best friends, frenemies (*wink*) and body image issues ( was I too fat?). It was a great life experience, though probably not the best so far, but I do have to give it some credit for getting me together with some of my best friends and Prince Charming ( yes, the people I adore with all my heart). It tought me how to experience intense feelings (not only thanks to Prince Charming *wink again*), but also to the people that thought me there was a reason fairytales were written: to put the bad guy to sleep!

But about Prom night? It was loads of fun (though a little short-cut if you ask me), it gave me and my besties to feel like princesses for a night and wear long, sexy gowns (though mine was probably the most nerve-wrecking experience I've had), luxurious hairstyles and ravishing make-up. The photos are proof of how well we felt and we can only wish to have the same impressions after our 10-year reunion (which I cannot wait for more than this!!!).

All in all, it's been a fun set of years and we can now only ask ourselves what our future (and our finals) has set up for us.

Are those ugly shoes?

Photobucket

For someone who loves passion, sometimes, there doesn't exist any kind of question such as "Are those ugly shoes?" or "How hideous can a blazer be?", but only "With what should I match that?". A similar thing happened to me a couple of months ago, when, in the spur of the moment, I decided to purchase a pair of golden sports shoes(?!). When the package arrived a couple of days after, I was more than ecstatic with my newest foot jewels, but sadly, I could not find any outfit that would make them work. I searched for inspiration in all corners of the internet, but nothing would help. Until yesterday, my hope had been lost. But yestermorn, as I was looking for a shirt to wear, it hit me: I could finally wear my beloved golden sports shoes! The look is, as you can see, a little bit on the classical side, with the silk shirt and golden necklace, but what better treatment could I have given to my precious, maybe ugly, shoes:)?
Walking down the streets of my lovely small town of residence, I would soak my feet into the soft fabric and admire them in every available store window. They go so well on lazy Sundays.

Glittery

I will always cherrish most the items I buy with money earned on my own. And this is how these shoes' story begins. A couple of weeks ago I discovered I had some money on my PayPal account and decided I should spend them. So I then went along on a journey to discover the perfect piece under 20 $. And there I found these lovely Asos babies. And now, one week and a half later, I find myself looking at them and contemplating every stitch.
I love the combination between the golden fabric, the black shoelaces and the white sole. I believe that they're so easy to mix with any other type of clothing, both with jeans and a t-shirt or with a fancier dress.

Christmas is around the corner!

Hello, dears! My post title sounds a little bit off right now, doesn't it? But you should know that you can get some pretty amazing deals if you start from now. And what I adore most about Christmas? The fact that it's the perfect time for feeling loved.
This year I'm a planning this big dinner with many of my friends : pork, sarmale, traditional food, red wine and so on, listening to carols and just having a great time around the tree. And since I want to feel so special, I think I need a great outfit. So, where do we start from? Well the shoes, ofcourse!
I've made a selection of shoes that I think are suitable for your Christmas parties and that work along with current trends!

Buna, dragilor!
