The last leaf

It's been more than two weeks since I stepped ( more or less gracefully) on the steps of the restaurant where our Senior Prom was held. It is only now that I am realizing how fast time goes and how time is probably the only thing I don't have right now. Being burried under piles of endless finals material with a desire to pump caffeine through my entire system, I want to take the time and acknowledge the times that have passed, just to make a clean slate to the ones that are coming.

What was highschool for me? Probably what it was for most of the people in the world: 4 years filled with (unfounded) drama, delightful (and not so delightful) new experiences, new friends, best friends, frenemies (*wink*) and body image issues ( was I too fat?). It was a great life experience, though probably not the best so far, but I do have to give it some credit for getting me together with some of my best friends and Prince Charming ( yes, the people I adore with all my heart). It tought me how to experience intense feelings (not only thanks to Prince Charming *wink again*), but also to the people that thought me there was a reason fairytales were written: to put the bad guy to sleep!

But about Prom night? It was loads of fun (though a little short-cut if you ask me), it gave me and my besties to feel like princesses for a night and wear long, sexy gowns (though mine was probably the most nerve-wrecking experience I've had), luxurious hairstyles and ravishing make-up. The photos are proof of how well we felt and we can only wish to have the same impressions after our 10-year reunion (which I cannot wait for more than this!!!).

All in all, it's been a fun set of years and we can now only ask ourselves what our future (and our finals) has set up for us.

Wedding hair

Style is something that, if present, follows you through all the stages in your life and is present in every aspect of it. Style does not only apply for clothing, for shoes, accesories, but also for the the way you act and think. Style comes superfluous in all ways of movement and thought. Also, it lies in the hair. 

Yes, madam, style also lies in hair. My usual hairstyles are rather simple and messy, not only because I would sometimes want them to look not so polished, but because my hair has a mind of its own. It's rebelious and not the mother of hairspray is able to tame him. But Flori Toader did the impossible and made my hair look rather royal for the birthday party of a friend of mine, which took place at a very special restaurant (pics soon). Besides that, I also want to thank Liana Predica for making me seem to really have a pair of eyes.

I don't want to be a cheerleader

We`re breaking boundaries. And we`re not doing the same old little cliché of, "Oh, cheerleaders are dumb, so let`s make fun of them".

No, darling, no one is messing with the cheerleaders! 

Never mess with the cheerleaders, they'll make you fall in love with them.  So step back, think again and go dye your hair. Or lose some weight. Or eat a ton of Spaghetti Millanesse.

In fact, do something they think you will never do: make a change to yourself, change yourself and make you the best you you would like to know! Don't ever think of how it will be seen by them, but how it will be seen by you, how your mirror will take it and most importantly, how your ego will take it.

Bangs, stars and hearts

Hey,guys ! I'm finally here with an "outfit of the day" post. Haven't done it in a while . And it's not because I've slacked off dressing nice, but because taking photos requires extra attention besides my already hectic life. So , here's the deal for today : not only did I wear this great dress that I hadn't worn in ages , but I spiced up with a turqoise shell necklace and starry converse sneakers. Oh,and did I mention I got bangs ? Which shine in a very intense shade of red ? I'd been wanting a big change for a while and here it came ! I got my hair cut on the very first day of school and absolutely no one would recognise me when I arrived. By the way , I plan to redo my "back to school" outfit these days just to show it to you , because I liked it very much but didn't have the chance to photograph it. Brain Food

I came to the country side for some peace and quiet...but I didn't get as much of it as I'd wanted to :) Why ? I'm leaving for the sea-side this Sunday , with the EYP as a candidate for the National Selection Session and I have to complete a research paper and get train bookings and lots of other preparations must be done. But still, I enjoy my evenings going out with friends and today we're going to the have a party by the Danube : lots of sunbathing and swimming and a barbecue in the night .

Plus, here's my brain food (what I use to concentrate on my research and not get distracted by blogs and online window shopping xD )

EYP regionals 2011

Oh,guys ! Here they are , the photos from my weekend in Busteni with the European Youth Parliament . We arrived Thursday evening and left on Sunday . I must say that these days were great <3 First of all , we had to show-case traditional food from our county and it turned our that is was incredibly tasty . Then , we had to show an act,still,specific. We played a sketch called "The Tale of two Giurgius" , written by yours truly (advertising,advertising ). Then we had to write a resolution on our committee topic (we were 7 committees by the way) and that involved committee work with 15 minutes coffee breaks (God,were those good or not !?) . We also had a big debate ,at the end . Our resolution passed ! (all did ,but hey !) .
And did I forget about teambuilding sessions ? They rocked,thanks to out chair-persons : Ali and Gabi. Thanks guys,for telling us such sweet stuff!
