To new beginnings!

The Shoependant
Happy New Year, my lovelies! May 2013 be your year and may you get the chance to fulfill all of your deepest dreams and desires!
The reason I am writing today and haven't written with regard to last year is the fact that I adore starting fresh, getting a clean cut from everything in the past. I cannot say I haven't learned anything in the last 12 months nor that it has been anything but an amazing year, but I feel that these future 4 seasons will be more than extraordinaire!
I hope you celebrated the passage from yesterday to today properly ( meaning exactly as your heart desired) and that you'll remain fabulous!
See you tomorrow with the outfit I wore for New Year's Eve!

Saint Alexander's

Photobucket

My favorite day of the year is my birthday! And if that's too many months away, I can settle for my name-day. Yes, you've heard correctly: it's Saint Alexander's day and the day has been of surprises so far. First of all, I got a package from Shine Accesories with a necklace that I had been craving for for a while now. It's wooden and the colors are quite vibrant, perfect for brightening an autumn outfit or simply for remembering the hot summer days that are just passing. I cannot wait to style it and present it in an outfit post( especially since I haven't done many of those in a while now).
Secondly, while I was looking for a bathing suit today (and I got one, but that's gonna be the subject of another future post), I called on Maria, one of my closest and dearest friends. And guess what? She surprised me with a little muffin-ish cake with a cute red candle in it and yelling: Happy Name-day! I felt so special when she then proceeded in hugging me and almost bursted into tears! Of joy, ofcourse! Afterwards we went to my place and celebrated with some grilled chicken and lemon-beer:)
It's been one of the most special days of my year so far and one of the most full in feelings of joy and happiness!

Crumbs from a Lindt Torte

Photobucket

You know you're having the time of your life when time passes and you don't even notice it until it's long gone. My days in one of my favourite cities in the world are now far away, but still images, otherwise known as photographs, still remain. Skype conversation are there to suffice until we all meet again. And Lindt Torte is now even more delicious than ever!

I am not perfect, nor do I try to be

Photobucket
I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.
Audrey Hepburn
I am not perfect, nor do I try to be. I cannot characterise myself through a long line of words, passions or loves. I cannot be described by anyone, nor can try to compose a good visual image of myself. I am happy. I am a happy person and that is probably what can delineate my entire personality.
I guide myself through the path of my life enjoying the beauty of it and trying to produce beauty. My sole concern is that of creating beauty. I am happy when I create. I simply create.
This is something that also defines my style, my fashion sense and my endless dwellings on monumental quantities of priceless (and overly expensive) clothes and shoes and jewellry.
I choose to live under the permanent decision between being happy or not being happy, but I will never cease to mold my life around the wish of being happy, whatever that may mean.

The limit of adulthood

Photobucket

I give a special significance to dates and events and this year was not an exception. On the most perfect 21st of January, this year, I turned 18, embracing therefore, the first step into adulthood.
I had given it a lot of thought, but never did I think it would really change my perspective on life. Becoming able to vote has given me another sense of responsability and of understanding of my mistakes.
But as life goes, I have not become of an age that inabilitates me to make mistakes, nor to try making any, but to realise that making mistakes is a way to learn.
In another manner of thought, by realising something like this can be dangerous, but even the mistakes I make during typing or while I was dancing at my party have, in spite of me being aware of it or not, an effect of present and future me.
Needless to say, even though I am an adult now and my state trusts my capacities of drinking, driving and voting( therefore deciding in one way or another, my country's fate), I am still a child, a lover of the arts and a dedicate fashion blogger, desperately trying to prove myself in the world I live in and insisting on sharing my ideas and rambling to anyone, even more to those that are there to hear.

I wish for a better me to come with the new stage on which I have embarked and that what matters to me most to stay with me for the rest of my life.

Christmas is around the corner!

Hello, dears! My post title sounds a little bit off right now, doesn't it? But you should know that you can get some pretty amazing deals if you start from now. And what I adore most about Christmas? The fact that it's the perfect time for feeling loved.
This year I'm a planning this big dinner with many of my friends : pork, sarmale, traditional food, red wine and so on, listening to carols and just having a great time around the tree. And since I want to feel so special, I think I need a great outfit. So, where do we start from? Well the shoes, ofcourse!
I've made a selection of shoes that I think are suitable for your Christmas parties and that work along with current trends!

Buna, dragilor!

New Look Romania Opening

Photobucket

Last night I went to my first important fashion event : New Look Romania Opening ,in Afi Palace Cotroceni. I attended the VIP party and took some pretty cute photos, though not of the highest quality.
I saw some amazingly nice clothes and I got home with some pretty hefty shopping done : a pair of leopard low heels,an armor ring, 2 pairs of opaque tights (mustard and crimson) , a silk shirt aaaand,as a gift,I got a really cute golden bracelet. (see my latest shopping aquisitions in my next post).
The place was filled with celebrities, champagne and little fancy snacks .
Though the event was so glamorous and I liked it so much,I didn't really speak to anyone in the Romanian blogosphere, probably because I was so shy ,but next time I promise I'll walk up and talk to other bloggers :)

Last, but not least, I adored the show(s) . Yes , there was a fashion show, constituted of New Look's lookbook and a concert : The Moood. And I must say, those guys are really good !

Getting from Bulgaria to Romania + Romanian Party

Photobucket

On the sixth day , we got our bus transfer from our hotel in Bulgaria to Romania's Eforie Nord, at the Ten Union Hotel . I really recommend it for those who want to go the Romanian sea side (the food is great!) . It was really sad to leave the hotel of our fun part of the trip, but we knew we still had 5 more days to enjoy.
When we got to the hotel and unpacked,we went for a walk on the beach and started talking only in English to see which merchandisers would understand us : saddly, none did .
Then,in the evening , we had a Romanian themed party with old Romanian hits and traditional music . We sang and danced and all the foreigners learned a little from our really happy and joyful traditions.

Balkan's Exchange Forum - Day 3

(this is my favorite picture from teambuilding)

Here comes day number 3 , still in Bulgaria <3 During this day , we created paintings and collages based on the motto " Yes,we can overcome the crysis " and out committee theme . In my case , the problem of Romanians registering their cars abroad , more specifically in Bulgaria.
Also,we had teambuilding on the beach and a theme party in the night : White Party !

Eyp's Balkans Exchange Forum 2011 - part 1

Photobucket

Do you ever have a depression after coming home from a trip ? I always do. And it's as severe as the fun I had during the time I was away.
This is what I now call "P.E.D." and stands for Post Eyp Depression (eyp = european youth parliament) .
We spent the first 5 days in Albena and the next 5 in Eforie Nord , close to the Romanian city of Constanta.
We first had a lot of team-building sessions and parties, such as the White Party and Rubik Party, where you were supposed to dress in the 6 colors of the rubik cube .
We also had sports contests and various intercultural activities.
Just as a thing . Someone said about Romanians that they are dark-tone skinned and have a lot of hair ,including the facial type. No,guys, they are not ! Romanian girls are among the most beautiful girls around the world. Don't think of every Romanian girl as me,but believe me, they are amazing !

These are photos from our first and second day , including The Village (an event where people from different countries show their customs while wearing traditional costumes and do different traditional costumes). We ,from Muntenia, had some cute make-ups representing the colors of our flag.
