Spring Scented

The Shoe Pendant

Hello, butterflies! I'll start by wishing you a very happy spring and may every day of your year be as beautiful as today was here.

For me, it started with some very early waking up and a 1 hour drive to Bucharest, meeting Prince Charming and getting some shopping done. I also couldn't miss the chance of taking some photos with a lovely new lens I borrowed from a friend (don't fret, I'm soon getting one of my own)so I chose the park facing Unirea Shopping Mall. Later on, I discovered another really good place for pictures, as you can see in the last photo.

With regards to the actual shopping, I'm a little bit sad because sales ended a couple of days ago. Still, I got my hands on some pieces from Glow, such as a blazer for 10 dollars, a blouse for 5 and some shoes for 20$! My star buy is, for sure, a very nice pair of tights from H&M, which I can't wait to show you in a very near post!

I'm leaving you now to enjoy the pictures from today, as I'm heading for a night out with the girls (and the boys, but it's more about the feminine side of the gang!)

2 years of glamming

Photobucket
Hello, lovelies! Nice to see you after so much time. This time, I'm going to try to bring you up to date with a couple of events from the past week.
On Thursday, invited by the lovely Stefana Chivoiu from Delazero advertising company, I attended the event called "2 years of glamming", which celebrated 2 years of Remington's Romanian blog, Remington Style, and it's award of public's favorite. Since I am such a fan of hair products and such a lousy personal (aka my own) stylist, I thought it would be a great opportunity to learn some new things and maybe figure out in which beauty gadget I should invest in next.
The evening was lovely and I got to meet some new friends with whom I will hopefully meet up at future events too! Sorry about the lack of pictures though and my face in them, but busy days get the best of me (and forgetting my make-up bag at home never helps either).

Glittery

Photobucket

I will always cherrish most the items I buy with money earned on my own. And this is how these shoes' story begins. A couple of weeks ago I discovered I had some money on my PayPal account and decided I should spend them. So I then went along on a journey to discover the perfect piece under 20 $. And there I found these lovely Asos babies. And now, one week and a half later, I find myself looking at them and contemplating every stitch.
I love the combination between the golden fabric, the black shoelaces and the white sole. I believe that they're so easy to mix with any other type of clothing, both with jeans and a t-shirt or with a fancier dress.

Milestones

Photobucket

“A milestone passed, new things begun, dreams as shining as the sun, a goal achieved, a victory won!
This is what probably describes best my feelings at the moment. I am proud to announce my first glory in fashion-blogging matters: I have succeeded in posting for 100 times!
My tendency to keep things going is usually not so rewarding, since it doesn't quite exist, but this time, I am proud I have stuck with my passion for fashion long enough to reach this milestone.
And to celebrate,I decided to create one of my most quirky outfits: mixing animal print with leather shorts and knitter sweaters might not seem my usual go-to dress-up, but it certainly has a special relationship with my soul. Sparkly clutches have a way of saying "Heya, handsome!" to old, worn-out UGG boots like not other.
Embellished duck rings and knitted leather bracelets are funky and make my hands smile, if not for the chipped off metallic blue nailpolish on my fingernails .
All in all, what I wish for from now on is that I reach my 1000th post milestone, my 100000th and so on. I wish for my little baby to prosper into a world where mixing my heart with my closet is not only tricky, but amazing.

Uniforms

Though I miserably failed to post my back to school look , I realise now that almost everything I got for school this year is useless. Because yes, after 2 years of highschool, they try, once more , to implement a standard uniform. The regulations require grey ,office trousers, white(light pink/grey/light blue/black) shirt and navy blazers. This seems quite okay, right ? But hey , today , our principle got us all out in front of the school to tell us that our uniform has to look like these 3 items put together :
TopShop blouse

TopShop blouse (see more cotton blouses)
Salvatore ferragamo

Salvatore ferragamo (clipped to polyvore.com)
Blazer

Blazer (see more tailored blazers)
And yes, we are not allowed to use black trousers . And jeans (no matter what color are not accepted!!! ) . Also, they had to tell us that we are to avoid wearing too much make-up. And check this out : our heels should be of a minimum height , if non-existent !

Do you agree with these pieces ? Or even better : do you have any uniform suggestions ?

White Party at the Parliament

Photobucket Hello, sweeties ! I am so sorry for the long pause ,but it so happens that before leaving for the sea-side , my laptop broke so I was left with no "hands and legs" . I am happy to announce that Tomis Forum/National Selection Session of the European Youth Parliament was great, though not able to surpass Balkan's Exchange Forum from June/July. Here are the first photos , from the White Party . Everything I'm wearing is freshly bought : Shirt from New Look Shorts/Skirt from Koton Shoes from New Look Plus, enjoy my new hair color : as red as it can get <3

Doina Vitaminised Face Milk

It's a first for me , so don't crush me in comments . While shopping for some cosmetics to take with me at my cousin's (where I finally am after a year of waiting) , I decided to try some new products and even to review them, just for you to benefit :)

The first product I decided to try is the Doina Vitaminised Face Milk .
The first thing that inspired me to buy it was the fact that absolutely everyone from Romania has heard of it an considers it as a good product. Second , the very attractive price : it costs about not more than 1,1 pounds . Which is a very good deal !

At the first sight, it doesn't really attract you instantly , not having a brightly colored or embellished container, but a rather vintage look . The size is well chosen : it has the right amount to last for ages and it's easy to carry around.

Then : the smell. It smells like my grandmother's cream . It doesn't have a specific scent, smelling rather as something neutral, which is a big plus since scents that are added to beauty products are not good for your skin.

The consistency : It's not as fluid as milk, but it's not too bulky either. It's something that you spread on your face and don't even have much time to massage it into the skin. Because yes, you can use it both as a make-up cleanser and as a moisturiser .

What does it really do then ?
I've used it both as a cleanser and as a moisturiser , but the good part it that it hydrates your skin enough while removing make-up so no extra using it and you save the extra product .

In conclusion ?
It's an excellent money saver
One of the best skin products I have ever tried
Lovely packaging

Would you try it or have you already did ?

Eyp's Balkans Exchange Forum 2011 - part 1

Photobucket

Do you ever have a depression after coming home from a trip ? I always do. And it's as severe as the fun I had during the time I was away.
This is what I now call "P.E.D." and stands for Post Eyp Depression (eyp = european youth parliament) .
We spent the first 5 days in Albena and the next 5 in Eforie Nord , close to the Romanian city of Constanta.
We first had a lot of team-building sessions and parties, such as the White Party and Rubik Party, where you were supposed to dress in the 6 colors of the rubik cube .
We also had sports contests and various intercultural activities.
Just as a thing . Someone said about Romanians that they are dark-tone skinned and have a lot of hair ,including the facial type. No,guys, they are not ! Romanian girls are among the most beautiful girls around the world. Don't think of every Romanian girl as me,but believe me, they are amazing !

These are photos from our first and second day , including The Village (an event where people from different countries show their customs while wearing traditional costumes and do different traditional costumes). We ,from Muntenia, had some cute make-ups representing the colors of our flag.

The Mask

Photobucket

Hello, sweeties ! I was dieing to show you this incredible mask I got from a friend of mine for my birthday. It's hand-made by her and I simply adore the feathers and lace. It's in tone with the Italian Fashion Bloggers Event I've been seeing on Italian blogs lately.
In other ideas, I've been rather busy and outfit shots are probably getting late, because I am in a sort of study-a-lot period because I'm having lots of tests and my Olympiad is coming very fast.
I'm going a weekend to Busteni(mountain resort) at the beginning of April , for the youth parliament, and I simply cannot wait !<3
